it’s that time of year again, sis! thanksgiving just passed and we know you’re probably calming down after that one family member tried you over the collard greens 😩 with the holidays on the way, you’re probably feeling hella stressed. 

we’re heading into 2021 and the holidays are around the corner. it’s easy to get kaught up but don’t forget about making time for yoself and practicing some much needed self care! 

we know you’re stressin’ about meeting those deadlines at school and work and wondering when yo skin will act right. but we got you, sis! let’s talk about getting our self care routine together during the holidays so we can start the new year off right!

music always makes us feel better. sometimes you gotta put on a bomb playlist and take a few minutes to chill out at the end of the day. light your favorite candle, grab a glass of wine and kick back and relax.

keep moving, sis!

feeling burnt out and fatigued? it’s been a long week and between work and responsibilities, you might be feeling more burnt out than usual. staying active always puts us in a better mood. cardio in the living room, practicing some new yoga poses, or even going out to get some fresh air on a walk are some simple ways to get that body-ody-ody-ody movin’ (shoutout to meg!). it’s what helps us get back on track.

kut out toxicity.

ain’t nobody got time for stressin’ into the new year! 2021 is for positive vibes, extra money in our bank accounts and serving looks with a bomb fit and klear skin. if that means cutting off fake friends or that guy that’s been leading you on, then so be it! self-care means cutting out those negative vibes that are tryna hold you back from living your best life. free yoself from those shackles, girl! 😩

treat yoself.

you deserve more. it doesn’t hurt to treat yourself to something nice every now and then. treat yourself to a nice dinner, spa day, or a little online shopping spree to scoop up your favorite products.

what are some simple things you enjoy in your free time? spend some time alone doing your favorite solo activities. it’s time to relax and watch a couple episodes of your favorite show. or maybe throw in a face mask after your skincare routine. we’re all for the luxury vibes at home 😍 

put yourself first.

sometimes you gotta learn to say no. setting boundaries is important, especially when it comes to things you’re not interested in. dragging yourself to brunch when you’d rather stay home and chill is not the move. start saying no – cuz when you’re out here saying yes to everyone who asks for favors, you start to wear yourself down. 

don’t get caught up tryna keep everyone happy. if you need a break, just say that! set those boundaries, girl. it’ll help you in the long run.
